Thanksgiving and Cell phones

It was incredibly beautiful and 78 degrees here in Texas on Thanksgiving....the problem is, it just didn't feel like Thanksgiving. I stayed in Texas and spent the time with the Wenth family (my Texas Family). We had a blast. We played cards (Up the River, Down the River), we went and saw Deja Vu, and we also played volleyball.

On another note...I have been looking at new fundraising ideas for Africa. I still am in the middle of raising money for my scouting trip (I need $1,500) and then creative ways to raise the money for when I go back. One great way I have found is through collecting old cell phones. There is a company that helps with this, they mail you collection boxes, pay for the shipping to get the phones to them and then send you a check for them. I am testing this out with five boxes here in the metroplex and then I am going to put together a checklist for anyone who would like to help support me by doing the same thing in their community. If you would like to help me, just let me know and I will give you the EASY details! :)
