Huricane Rita

This is in Houston.....I live in DFW....which is in North Texas

I have had a few requests about what Huricane Rita might mean for me in my little neck of the woods here in Texas. First of all for those of you in lesser states...please remember that TEXAS is VERY LARGE :).... So when the news talks about the storm hitting Texas that doesn't mean the whole thing. However, I know that the storm projection has it coming up this way...what does that mean for us? Well, we don't really know. There is really nothing expected except some serious rain fall (which we need) and some cooler weather (which I would love). I am a little concerned for Houston, however...so pray that the Storm decreases in strength.

I will say that in the past the concern when huricanes are in the neighborhood is the company that they attract....namely TORNADOS. A bad group to hang around really....anyway, at this point we are not preparing to do much but pray. We don't live near any water and we have never experienced any flooding persay, so we will see.
