The other day I posted a scenario about this cool thing that happened on our way down to Austin last weekend...I just saw that Alyn posted the story on his blog and since he was the one in the restaurant and I was standing outside I thought it would be a bit more accurate :)....ya, think?
So the following is copy written and used with assumed permission from www.musthavemore.com
"On Friday night, we were out for dinner at this lovely little Mexican place in Waco (no jokes please :-) and we had this incredible spanish waitress who was just awesome. The food was wonderful and the company was likewise but just as we were paying the bill, I asked the waitress if she had pain in her body and her eyes just about jumped out of her head and she was like, "Why?" and I said, "Well repeat this after me" and I led her in a four line prayer that went something like this:
- "This healing belongs to me
- because of what Jesus has done
- I receive my healing now
- in the name of Jesus"
When we finished the prayer she was freaking out, "My pain has left my body... I have no pain... oh my goodness, how did you do that? what was that?". Seriously, she was just about in tears and she is looking at me with eyes on stalks. So I just explained that it wasn't anything to do with me, that it was Jesus who had just healed her right there.
The other waitress is just looking at her, looking at me, looking at her. So I said to our waitress who had just got healed, "That's Jesus on the outside, would you like Jesus on the inside?" and I began to explain to her about who Jesus was, and how he loves her and how he wants to change her life and come into her heart. And she's like, "Yes! Yes I would!" so I lead her in a little prayer and she gives her life to Jesus right there in the restaurant! What fun! My friend who is a local there, hooks her up with her phone number and offers to take her to church and I was thinking, "Gosh, Lord this evangelism lark is so much more fun now than it used to be".
Now...for my response:This is amazing, this four line prayer that gets the unsaved person to pray themselves as they have a mustard seed of faith and healing flows. Anyway, as soon as AJ and Alyn get this teaching out on tapes...it is a MUST HAVE teaching.
So, I am challenging myself and any of my blog readers out there to step out and see if God doesn't heal those around you....when you do, please let me know the testamonies and I will share mine with you too...
Will you take the challenge?
