Well, I got my Absentee Ballot for the Republican Primaries in my PO Box today. So, I sat down to do some homework....it was harder than you might think to find good information on candidates, especially the local ones for my district in Texas.
I found myself making decisions based on the city the candidate was from, their occupation prior to running, or sadly, once based on the name. I would have preferred to know the voting records, running platforms, and blood type...but I couldn't find any of that for those running for the District Judge in the 213th district....guess they don't matter much...SHAME!
Then it came down to the big one.....the Presidential Candidate.... So, here goes....
1) I don't like John McCain...why? Well, I have never liked him and I remember him from way back (believe it or not). He seems wishy washy to me....He says the right things, but he is just so...political. If it comes down to it...I would vote for him over Hilary...but right now..he doesn't get my vote.
So that leaves me with three:
Mit Romney
Mike Huckabee
Ron Paul
so I checked out websites, looked for all the information I could get and I decided....
I am supporting Ron Paul. Not because he is a Texan.....not because he is a Christian.....but because he appears to have the experience that we need. He reminds me of Ronald Regan...whom I liked....and everyone liked at his death.
Does he have a chance to win the Republican Nomination? Probably not, but I can pray.
