Monkeys, Elephants, Repelling..Oh my!

We took the summer interns (Outreach Staff) on a Safari Debriefing last week. It was a great time of hanging out, helping them process their two months, and seeing animals. We got to see Elephants up close and personal….It was very cool! There was a whole herd that was crossing the road…here is a picture, it was getting dark, so this picture is blurry (no flashes allowed), but I like it a lot…

This other elephant picture is a close up…amazing animals!

The other really fun time was the morning we were leaving, my friend Krista and I were on the porch eating breakfast when we got a monkey audience. So, we busted out the camera and played with the monkeys a bit. Fun, Fun!!

It is great to get away for a few days of fun! I will say that although it was fun…it was tiring!! We got back Friday night and I got up early Saturday morning to take the Outreach Staff Abseiling (Repelling). I have never been before, so I was excited and scared. It was a lot of fun. I didn’t take a camera, so I will have to see if there are any pictures of me floating around out there….

Then we did some ministry house cleaning, so my muscles are very sore! We have less than a week left with the Outreach Staff. They will be following around our interns for the week (Twenty4Seven Preview) and then they leave on Friday. I am both sad and excited to seem them off…Sad because I will miss them, but excited to see what they do when they take this experience home with them!
