Yummm..Zebra anyone?

This last weekend Ashley and I went with the team to a restaurant called Carnivore...yep you guessed it...MEAT, MEAT and MORE MEAT!! I have to tell you that Papa Wenth would have been VERY proud of his little girl....she is INDEED A CARNIVORE! She tried every meat that was available and liked it ALL!! This is a picture of Ashley getting ready to eat some ZEBRA!
After eating at Carnivore we headed to a Big 5 (Elephants, White Rhino, Lions, Leopard, Cape Buffalo)game park called Mabilingwa. We went on a night safari drive and then after dinner played some cards with Niel, Alece, and Rebecca.

Here is a great picture from our night drive...wow, isn't it beautiful...

Most of our night drive was spent looking for the Elephants....it got too dark on us so it was planned that we would continue it the next morning.

So we started at 7am the following day to see if we could find the tiptoing elephants. While looking for these elephants we did get to see some other great animals....like this Giraffe...isn't he cute? Just like Jeffrey...
Then we saw a whole family of White Rhinos...they crossed the road right where we were sitting.

Unfortunately, we never did get to see the Elephants...maybe next time :). We had a late breakfast before going back to Johannesburg to the market and then to the airport. Here is a picture of Niel, Alece, Ashley, Rebecca, and myself..... We really had a wonderful weekend!

We stayed Sunday night at a hotel in Johannesburg, so we could pick up the 14 additional Outreach Staffers that came in. They are MUCH closer to Ashley's age (16-25)and I think she is really enjoying having them around. They are doing quite a bit of training right now and Ashley is in the middle of it...learning, bonding with the team, etc. Tomorrow I head out to pick up another church team at the airport and we leave at 6am, so I better sign off.

On a personal note, please keep me in your prayers as God might be changing my plans for teh future.

See you soon-
Charlene
