Things I am learning about 8th Graders....

So, I am learning some things about 8th graders that seem to be universal....
1) no matter how clear you are in an announcement or statement, they will somehow miss it and ask you questions about what you just said a minimum of 5 times.
2) They are slower than my grandmother (and she is dead)
3) They complain of being tired all day, dragging along....until we get to the hotel, then there is an extra wind, some hidden adrealine that kicks in and keeps them up too LATE!
4) No matter how good they are they just can't consistently keep ALL the rules. They may keep some, but there have to be a few that they break....like...no gum or no standing while the bus is moving or no flash photography on the bus....simple requests really...but somehow confusing with all the hormones running around inside.

Well, today we went to Ford's Theater, the National Archives, the White House and a dinner theater called Toby's. I am exhausted and we have a long day with MUCH walking tomorrow...so I am off to bed.

G'Nite my friends...I would love to hear from you...

Hey Charlene is Nathan! Looks like you've really got your hands full there. I don't know how 8th graders are mature enough to be led around DC all that time, but GOD BLESS YA FOR TRYIN!!

Hey Charlene -

Toby's dinner theater was one of my mom's favorite places to go! What did you see? BTW as a waitress (server) I can tell you that a lot of people really never outgrow 8th grade ... whew ... how fun is my job. Have fun!
