Well, today was DAY ONE of my FIRST SOLO tour. I first have to say that I LOVE having a small group (read: 29 students and 6 teachers...yep, no parents). This group is from TX and they are just great. Eventhough they were VERY tired today, they held in like troopers and just really enjoyed the Holocaust Museaum and some memorials (FDR, Jefferson, WWII). Tomorrow, we have an early day and will be going to the Capitol, Supreme Court and Library of Congress. Then, we are going to the Smithsonians in the afternoon (read: I get to hang with my friend Katie for like 4 hours...SWEET!!!). After that a quick trip to the Iwo Jima and back to the hotel for Dinner and a program that we call Leaders in History.
I am starting to really like my job!! Oh, on another note...I did not get the job at Wheaton in the dorms...so, since I didn't have a PLAN B...I am praying that God gives me one. Please keep that in your prayers.
Also, an update on my neice. She has had some more tests and they think the cancer could have spread to her spleen....she start Chemo next week...please pray for her...I really want to see her miraculously healed.
