SA Sports...Rhino Rally and Rugby

Today some of the staff and I went into our big town of Harrismith to the Rhino Rally. This is a Bike Rally where bikers from all over SA come to strut their stuff and just hangout and party. My roommate, Jennifer, is a motorbike fan. She was the owner of a speedbike and a cruzer prior to moving to South Africa, so when she sees a bike she nearly comes out of her boots! ;)

She was hilarious today. Looking at the bikes and just soaking it up. She even got to ride a little with a friend of a friend on his bike. She was in heaven.

I just enjoyed the people watching. It was very different than anything in the States, especially concerning safety....but it was fun and I don't think too many people got hurt!

I am sure you all know that the South African Springboks won the Rugby WORLD CUP last weekend! YEAH!

Well tonight our own FREE STATE (the province I live in) Cheetahs won the South African Currie Cup. It was an intense game. We have found that watching rugby is a lot of fun here and almost all of the staff have enjoyed the games together. It is a great way to assimilate into the culture and gives us great conversation when we are in town, etc.
