Working 8-5 is for the BIRDS!!

Never fear Blog Fans, my absence from the Blog has not been because I perished in the "Winter" Storm here in TEXAS!! No, I actually worked for a week....well, I work regularly, but for two years now I have kind of dictated my schedule (which I love) ...but since December is a slow month for Accounts Receivable on the recruiting side of Samson Consulting (my biz), I decided to do a quick 60 hour week to make some extra cash....YUK. Well, it wasn't all that bad, I went around a road course 96 times and asked the same questions on a 1-5 scale of several different people...yep they were doing test drives. I am afraid I have the bloomin thing memorized now!!

On another note, I am still preparing to leave for Washington DC in Feb and am already starting to think about how I am going to miss everyone here....well, not everyone, but many, many people. I really have found that I love my Texas family, even if Texas is something to be desired.

I am headed to Pensacola next Friday for Christmas with my family and I am excited about that, except....I need to do some shopping!!!!!

I have one VERY important PRAYER REQUEST-
My neice (who is 18mos younger than me...so she is 28 right now) has a VERY large growth on her neck. She doesn't have insurance and can't afford the doctor...she went in to the ER last week and they told her it was either an infection or cancer...all without biospying it....not very bright docs if you ask me. Anyway, she is working on getting the money to cover the biospy...but wouldn't it be cool if God just got rid of it???? So, let's pray for that... I mean, as far as I can see Jesus loves to HEAL!

Well I am glad you didn't perish in the great storm of 2005.... what with that whole half an inch of snow it's amazing people are back to work already! Figure this out a charging bull or many heads of cattle and Texans are in there thinking "this is great fun". But drop a little bit of snow and the state goes into panic! "but what could it be?" "It's white and feels cold ..... interesting!" "I think we should hide in our houses until it passes and film the empty roads for days of 24 hour entertainment!"
