Sorry for the absence folks....things have been really busy here. So for a little recap on my last few weeks:

I spent last weekend in Staff development, taking personailty and giftings tests. It was really good. I had never taken this particular assessment (DISC) and was interested in how it measures your true personaily, a mask that you have and how you act under stress. Since I just got here, I am probably acting with more Mask and under stress....(change and all)...so I am taking that one to God!

Sunday I drove to Johannesburg and stayed in a hotel so that I could pick up the earliest outreach staffer. She came in at 7am....wheww!! Early! We had a good time hanging out and trying to stay awake until the other folks got in at 5pm. Overall it was fun, did a little shopping and then I took her to a movie. I knew that we both might take a nap, but I was okay with that. The movie was great though....Amazing Grace (I would love to have it on DVD when it comes out!)....I really could watch it a few times.

This week has been about training and getting to know the 8 outreach staff that are with me for the next two months.

Hope everyone is having a great summer. It is still cold here, but has been warmer than it was....so not too bad. I do think that it will be weird to have my birthday during cold months.....I can't believe I am about to be another year older!
