I enjoyed my last REAL weekend for the next two months. This next week, my first Outreach Staffer arrives and they will be here until August 10....so I will be busy during non "work" hours with them. I am looking forward to it, but there are things about Saturday that I love too.
Today, I slept until 9 am and then laid in my warm bed (it is in the 30's here right now) and read until about 10:15. I then joined the girls on our couch for the first session of our new bible study. I am excited that the staff girls are doing a bible study together. It is a pretty popular one by Beth Moore called Breaking Free. It was good and now I just need to keep up with my homework!!!
After that we made breakfast burritos and watched a show called "Top Chef" (my roommate Britt's favorite). Then I locked myself in my room and organized and cleaned until about 5pm. It was cold all day, but continued to ger really cold into the evening. So, when I went up to the other girls house and we were watching TV we looked so funny all bundled up on the couch...I was even in a mummy bag (sleeping bag). We decided to try to use the spare room as a game room (it is smaller and easier to heat)...so we played some cards in there. Then it was off to watch a little more TV (where I fell asleep).
It was a nice relaxing day. Tomorrow I plan on spending some good time with God, preparing more for the OS and giving my roomie a massage. A great way to spend a weekend if I do say so myself.
What did you do this weekend?
