Okay, so I suck at taking pictures...I hope you don't read my blog for the pictures or you are disappointed a lot....
I say that because as I sit here ready to tell you about my AMAZING HOSTS in Cape Town, I realize that I didn't take a picture of them.... well...Shan and John are from the good old Southeast (VA and NC) and Shan is my best friend's sister (Roz). I have seen Shan a handful of times over the last....13 years, but I can't say that I would have said I "knew" her very well. I met her husband once at Roz's wedding and had never met their little boy.
I must say, they are some GREAT hosts. They made me feel right at home...took me to see some things, feed me well and talked to me. We had some great conversations. They were just FUN! John is working for a British company that has him placed here for two-three years for work, so it was neat to be with fellow Americans here in this beautiful city.
We went to the Beach (it was nice and warm) and then to Table Mountain. There is much more for me to see and do the next time I come, but it was a great trip!
Thank you so much Shan, John, and John Conner. You have made a special place in my heart!

I have heard it's beautiful on table mountain! One day I will know first hand!
What a small world you live in! I love that you can go to South Africa and meet up with friends and friends of friends, just like you do when you travel in the states. Only Charlene....
