Today we took my dad to a hospice facility. Basically, as hard as it is to admit it, it appears as if my dad is in the end stages of his dementia (Alzheimer's). It came on sudden, but he is no longer able to eat on his own, sit up, talk...and I have no idea if he recognizes me any more.
This has been a hard decision for my mom and I, but we found a great place to help us take care of him through the next weeks, months, and/or years. My prayer is that God is merciful and that he can go home (to Jesus) as soon as he is ready. I miss my dad already...
Please keep my mom in your prayers. She is really taking this very hard and I know that the next months will be incredibly difficult for her.
Thank you all for your thoughts. Please pray for PEACE for us all.

I will be praying...
We are praying for you and your mom sweet Beanie.
Charlene,
Katielee here. Just a note to say you and your family are in my prayers. I am glad that your Dad seems to be well enough to leave the hospital, and pray for strength and health for you all. Perhaps once he gets settled he will improve... may the Lord be merciful and show His great and strong lovingkindness towards both of your parents, you and all your family in the days to come. love, katie
