Before I get started with this update I would like to direct you to the box in the index on the right that says "CLICK HERE". It is a neat map that you can click on and put where you are in the world. This will help me with my goal of 1 million friends. I know that seems like a lot, but over the years I have boasted that I have the BEST friends in all the world and that they are ALL OVER the World...so now I can really see where you are (I am pretty visual, you know). Anyway, I can also target areas where I just don't have enough friends....:)...just kidding, this isn't a marketing campaign or anything.
ANYWAY- I just got back from a 10 day trip that is the beginning of ALOT of transition in my life. Most of you know that I moved to Texas in 1998...wow-7 years ago. I have grown so much here..my church is AWESOME and I have some of the most loving friends and family ever. While I have been here, I have been growing in ministry areas, specifically that of counseling ministries...it goes by a few names..Healing Prayer, Inner Healing, Prayer Ministry or Formational Prayer...basically helping broken people through counseling and prayer. Anyhoo, I really think the next step is to go a head and get my MA in Counseling at Wheaton College. Why? There are many reasons, but I went for a visit and I really sensed that God was working all the angles to show me that it is the right path.
- I already have a GREAT church!
- The director of the MA programs sat next to me and is really nice (She knows my name now, which will make a difference during application time)

- The campus just "felt" right and it is BEAUTIFUL- check this out--->
- I have the opportunity to apply for a position as a Resident Director for the undergrads (yeah!!)
- It is a suburb of Chicago...the WINDY City and I love WIND!!!
- The program is for people who want to counsel in the context of ministry...which is what I want to do.
Then I went with my friend Catherine to her apartment in Chicago. How great it was to be in Chicago... Catherine lives on the 3rd floor of a building above a bar...how very..CITY like. I am so proud of myself....I took the EL (that is the Elevated Train) to down town and had lunch with my friend from Blue Cross Blue Shield and then I went back, got my luggage and took the train to Union Station. At Union Station I boarded an AMTRAK to Indiana!
To be continued...check back to hear about the Indiana Leg of my trip...:)
