I promised more info about my Chicago trip...first of all I want to say I really enjoyed my visit. Here are some random shots that I took while using the Mass Transit....oh yeah, I used lots of
transit....CTA, METRA, PACE and even AMTRAK (to Indiana).Anyway- after I was in the Chicago area for a few days (Th-Mon), I headed to Elkhart, IN on Amtrak. I was picked up in the pouring rain by my GREAT friends, Dave and Lisa Heeter...
They were so great to host me in their house (even though they had JUST moved in). (Dave- sorry your eyes are closed in the picture...it was the best one I had...) Anyway, I hung out with them for several days. Lisa is an old friend from Teen Mania. In fact, we traveled the US together, though we don't remember most of it due to sleep deprevation!! HA!Anyway, her whole family came over one night and we had dinner and played PIT. It was so much fun. I really connected with Lisa's
sister, Wendy years ago...and I really loved seeing her again. Here we are on the left.
The PIT game ended up being a warm up because we had another old friend over (Korina) and played with her....and I WON!! It is such an Indiana type game....about wheat and rice and stuff :). Anyway,it was fun!!
Lisa and I also went to the big metropolis of Ft. Wayne, IN to meet up with ANDREA HALL (there you are Andrea, I am talking about you on my blog). We had lunch with Andrea at Red Robins...here is a picture of Lisa and Andrea....

After all of this fun, I headed to a conference at Pokagon State Park in Angola, IN. The conference was called MHM (Mental Health Missions) and was mainly for professional counselors and psychologists who work with missionaries. I have a great interest in this area, so I went as a "student". I ended up introducing myself as a "prospective student" all weekend. The really great part was the director of the MA programs at Wheaton was there and I had a chance to talk to her and several of the students to find out what they thought of their program. It was a great conference and I met several awesome people. I was BLESSED with a GREAT roomate...Jennifer is from Denver and was so great!Well, that is about it, I got home last Sunday and have been trying to recover. I will update you soon about my favorite family...the WENTH's....as I share about Thanksgiving....
By the way, notice I have started a Discussion forum, it is a test of sorts...so, if you want to post a topic, let me know and I will give you the password!
Until then....
