AFRICA
I have been so busy that I don't think I have told most of you about my upcoming mission trip to South Africa. I am so excited. Ashley Wenth and I will be serving the ministry of Thrive Africa for three weeks in June. Please pray that all of the details come together, as I am working right up until the last week before we leave :).
Why am I going? To take a young girl who has DREAMED of being a missionary in Africa...that is why. I want to give her the opportunity to see those whom she has dreamed of, to meet the real people and see what God does to her heart. It is called an active commitment...something parents usually have for kiddos...but since I am a friend, a mentor, and an aunt...I figured I could do it too!
I also love my friends there that run this ministry and just want to see them again and serve them as they serve the people of South Africa.
a JOB
For those of you thinking about me and praying for me...please pray that I get a job in Chicago...SOOON. I really would like to nail down my living situation but I really need a job to do that. I have my resume out and am applying for jobs all over the place....so I need a peace that this is the right step.
